My sincere condolences to the family. I met Bob in 1989 when, as President of the Japan America Society of San Antonio, we worked together on the Kumamoto City Fair events at Rivercenter Mall. His gracious competence and generous cooperation left a lasting memory on me.

I remember exactly when and where I first met Bob and Beth. I knew immediately we would be friends. I have stayed in touch with Bob these past years after Beth died and have shared laughter and tears with him. I will miss him.
