Toby Jackson Obituary

November 4, 1925 - February 1, 2017
Toby I. Jackson Jr., 91, was called home by the Lord February 1, 2017. Toby was born November 4, 1925 in New Orleans, LA residing in San Antonio most of his life. Toby was a Veteran of 3 wars: WWII, Korean and Vietnam. He retired from the Military after 23 years of service and became a Maintenance Manager at Sheltering Arms where he eventually retired.
Toby is survived by his wife of 40 years, Claire E. Jackson; daughters Yvonne Powell (Michael), Shelley Daugherty, Belinda Hercule (Nerva), Sylvia Donseroux (Demetrius), Denise Windhorst; son Julian Jackson (Brenda); 17 Grandchildren, 3 Great Grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

We would like to give special thanks to the staff of the Heartland Hospice for their compassion and care of our entire family.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 13, 2017 from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Lewis Funeral Home, 811 S. WW White Rd, San Antonio, TX. A funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 PM Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 2302 S. Presa St., San Antonio, TX with interment to follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
