Wayne Pinterich Obituary
On May 19th, Wayne Pinterich got his wish. He passed away peacefully at home with his family. He will be missed by many.
Wayne was born in San Diego and went to Helix High School, Class of 1957. Dad was in the Air Force and also retired from the La Mesa Police Force. Dad loved his grandkids, all six of them. They were his life. He would do anything for them. Dad enjoyed fishing, going to the river, painting, reading, tennis, going to his grandkids' sporting events, and working in his yard. Wayne is survived by his daughter Stacy, son Randy and his wife Jennifer, sisters Brenda and Valerie, brother-in-law Terry, cousin David, grandkids, James, Kyle, Brandi, Jacque, Tyler and Randolph, nieces and nephews, Nick, Simon, Wendi, Kim and Eric and many, many friends. Memorial Services will be at 10:45, Tuesday, June 12th, at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, Point Loma. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to La Mesa Police Officers Assoc., PO Box 812, La Mesa, CA 91944, Attn: Jeff Raybould. Stacy and Randy, I just heard of your dads passing and am deeply saddened to have missed his funeral. We all had great times together years ago and I will never forget those. Our families were very close back then, but, you know how times change. It has been way to many years since we have seen each other. Your father was a great guy and he will be missed by many. Stacy and Randy, As next door neighbors to your grandparents on Berry St. for many years, we came to know your Dad as a kind, and generous gentleman who we had the utmost respect for. It was our pleasure to know the Pinterich Family members and enjoyed our times with all of you. May you be comforted to know that Wayne is now at peace. He was a GOOD man.

I remember your dad, Stacy and Randy from the days we spent at Santee Lakes at the "picnics" and other LMPD family events. I am so sorry for your loss.
