San Luis Obispo, California - We are sad to announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Joy Mary Miller of Cambria, California. She died at age 80 years old on June, 9th 2023. Joy was a beautiful person with a generous heart who spread kindness and happiness wherever she went. She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her. She cherished her grandchildren and great grandchildren. They meant the world to her. She also had many dear long time friends, as well as close friends in her community. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, family events and walking the trails of Cambria. In her life, she was a teacher who made a difference in the lives of those she taught. She was also a regional manager of Schick Centers and a volunteer at the Elephant Seals. Joy was predeceased by Ross Miller her loving husband and is survived by Gary Miller (son), Michele Miller (daughter), Tucker Butler (grandson), Dalton Miller (grandson), Chloe Miller (granddaughter), Lilly Miller (granddaughter), and Jaxon Butler (great grandson).
