Tony Bianco Obituary

Tony Bianco The extended families of Tony (Anthony Joseph Bianco Jr.) and Mary L. Bianco mourn his death from longstanding coronary complications on December 28, 2014. Tony has left us with countless loving memories of his eighty action packed years, his strength and determination, his warm hearted and compassionate ways; his forty years of devotion to his wife, Mary; his two brothers, Andy and Bill; his three children, Jay, Brian and Craig, and his four grandchildren: Nick, Michael, Anna, and Lauren. Tony's passion for the good things in life, in particular traveling, relishing fine foods and wines and reading vociferously combined to make his many years a blessing to all who had the good fortune to know him. Born in Pittsburgh, educated at Mount Union College, Tony was with IBM, RCA, NCR, CLS developing many sales teams for the computer world and in particular hotel computer systems. Tony's reach was worldwide; he thrived on the journey of life welcoming adventure and friendships. Tony was an inspiration in the way he championed severe obstacles throughout his life. Amongst those dear to him are Patti Bianco, Kathy Bianco, Ann Bianco, Susan Bianco, Claire Solot and Ned Solot. Tony's presence leaves us with abundant memories: he was a generous and good man. Contributions can be made to The Israel Tennis Centers Foundation, 433 Park Avenue South N.Y., N.Y. 10016 or The JCC Federation of San Luis Obispo, 875 Laureate Lane, San Luis Obispo, Calif., 93405 are most welcome. My sympathy to Tony's children, grandchildren and loving wife, Mary. For you, the legacy he left is incalculable. Thank you for sharing him with us. Tony was a thoughtful person and taught us by example to care and act with passion. He brought great things into the Central Coast community including pivotal support for a modern library; where, for me the journey will continue. It is with sincere regret that I close the wonderful chapter in my life which occurred watching the growing love affair OF Mary AND Tony. At its BEGINNING I DIDN'T GIVE THIS MARRIAGE A CHANCE, BUT slowly and gradually BOTH OF THEM HAD THE STEEL NEEDED TO MAKE THEIR MARRIAGE PROSPER AND ENDURE. I AM SORRY FOR Mary WHO WILL MISS HIM GREATLY. Perhaps I WILL BE IN THE AUDIENCE FOR HER "REQUIEM" I HOPE SO. MUCH SYMPATHY... MARJORIE

Tony was a fixture at the Performing Arts Center, enjoying opera, touring shows, symphony and the spoken word. I wish I'd spent more time with Tony at those events because, with his cultural acumen, I'm pretty sure I missed out on added depth to whatever production we were seeing. Tony and Mary's generosity has helped the SLO arts scene mature in ways that would not have been imagined 20 years ago. They've brought world-class performers to town and delved deep into admin and operating structures to lend guidance and financial support where they could.
My thoughts and prayers go out to dear Mary and all of Tony's family.
