John Rust Obituary

John A. Rust - SAVANNAH - John A. Rust of Savannah, Georgia passed away on Friday, August 26th, 2011 at the age of 83. He was born December 12th, 1927 in Elgin, Illinois. He is survived by his daughter, Jodie of Salt Lake City, Utah and a sister, Peggy of San Diego, CA, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, August 30th at 11am at Independent Presbyterian Church in Savannah. A graveside service will be held at Christ Church in Winnetka, Illinois at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Nature Conservancy for Land Acquisition in Door County, Wisconsin or The Mississippi River Museum in Dubuque, Iowa for Acquisition of Exhibit Material. Dear Jodie,

We got to know your father through the Savannah volunteer group, Clean Coast. We enjoyed his company and savored his cooking. He will be fondly remembered by us for his generosity and passion for preserving nature.
