At a time such as this I know you are all hurting deeply. How I wish I could comfort you with words but they don't heal broken spirits. The greatest source of assurance and comfort is prayer and I am lifting you up daily while you face this difficult time. Your great loss touches all your friends as well and we shall miss dear Bill very much. Take your time to grieve and in time God will heal.

My love to you Sarah and to Jenny and William and their families. You are wonderful friends.

I can't begin to tell you how much Bill meant to us. There was never a day that he did not call to check on Marion and I will always cherish that time. And we had so many good times in our travels. I just wish it could have been more. Love you,Jean
