A strong, stern yet loving teacher. I was taught 6th grade at Spencer.I know I got on her nerves, many days for running my mouth, while she taught us.I appreciate what I learned from her and she will be missed.

To the Kirkland Family,

Our condolences are with you and yours. I often spoke with Ms. Kirkland at Mrs. Morgan's house when my two children (Rocco & Fawn) were at Ruth's house as they grew up. Ms. Kirkland was pleasant, with warm thoughts.

My deepest sympathy is extended to this family ,Mrs.Kirkland was my six grade teacher, and one of the very best at her profession. She not only taught the three R's she taught love ,respect, etiquette, and pose.I had the chance over the years to take care her at Candler as my patient as she had so offening taken care of a hardhead young girl back at Frank W.Spencer so long ago.She was proud of me and I of her because I was a product of her many years of selfless services to young people in the Inner City Education Community.Sleep on Willie Mae Kirkland take your rest we your students loved "Mama Kirkland " but GOD loves you best....
