Gayle Gibbons Obituary
Gayle was born in Shenandoah, April 8, 1955, a daughter of the late Raymond and Mae Petrey Gibbons, and attended the former Ringtown High School.
She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville, and the Order of the Eastern Star.
Gayle spent her time doing crafts, decorating cakes, crocheting and also enjoyed singing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Russell Gibbons.
Gayle is survived by a sister, Nancy Gibbons, Coal Township, and a brother, Kenneth Gibbons and his wife, Joan, Ringtown, along with a nephew, Kenneth Jr., Ringtown, a niece, Jennifer, Shenandoah, and a great-niece, Jamie Lynn.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, 412 W. Main St., Ringtown. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday prior to the service. Burial will take place in the Brandonville Union Cemetery following the service. Our sympathies are with Gayle's family. She loved her family. Gayle was a special friend of ours for 43 years beginning when Ron was her pastor. Even though we lived hundreds of miles apart calls and cards kept our friendship close. We will miss those talks and cards, especially how she signed the cards, "With love your friend always Gayle." Our last card from her was on Thanksgiving. We thank God for her friendship and prayers.
