William Bachofner Obituary
William Lee Bachofner "Bill" 81, of Stanwood, passed away June 22, 2022 with his girls by his side.
He leaves behind 4 girls; Melanie (Clint) Boutchyard, Sheralee ( Bob) Torres, Wendy (Rich) Williams, Billie (Rich) Imus.10 grandchildren; Tara Cowan, Tyler Sains, Tanner Sains, Tandi Sains, Brianne Murray, Ashley Sains, Hannah Lima/Ohrn, Maranda Cleveland, Marissa Nichols, Macaela Hansen and 12 great-grandchildren. Sister; Pat Sandberg-Lund, 2 nieces; Kristi (Bill) Mosman, Lisa (John) Dobbins, nephew; Denny Sandberg and many friends, especially a very dear friend, John Mjoen.
Bill attended Conway grade schools, played basketball/football and graduated from Mt. Vernon H.S. in 1959.
After 28 years, he retired from the Washington State Patrol, in 2002, as supervisor.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Ruby and Walt Stering, Wilfred (Ramona) Bachofner and Margaret (Frank) Rimsa. Grandparents; Emil and Minnie Bachofner, Beatrice and Art Rod. Sister; Denise Rimsa, and 2 grandson's, Timothy and William Sains.
Arrangements are under the care of Gilbetson's Funeral Home, Stanwood.

Bill and I met in September 1989. We became friends, and he helped me through some tough times. I was blessed to have him as a friend. We have remained in contact for 33 years in lunches and phone calls. My heart is broken. I will always love him.
