Dr. Al was a wonderful human being. He exuded a quiet, patient wisdom; genuine kindness; a keen delight and interest in life; and a gentle sense of humor. He was director of SCSU British Studies on our program in London. Those were happy days.

Arlene and family, you are all in our thoughts and prayers. having also lost my parents due to dementia illnesses I understand the journey that you have been on with your loved one. I will always remember Al's questioning nature. Always paying attention to eery last detail. No stones were ever left unturned. Always
exploring every possible answer to get people thinking seriously. He was always challenging others to never stop learning. He was truly dedicated to his faith in his LORD,his family and all the students that he taught over the years. He was an inspirational man. A very deep thinker, I Will always remember serving with him on the Lutheran Student Fellowship Directing Board. God bless and keep you all in his care during this time and always.
