Bernice Ann (Asfeld) Larson

Formerly of Kimball & Buffalo - Bernice Ann (Asfeld) Larson, age 80, formerly of Kimball and Buffalo passed away on January 18, 2018 at The Hilltop Health Care Center in Watkins. She was born on April 10, 1937 in Kimball the daughter of Frank & Mary (Miller) Asfeld. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Buffalo. Bernice formerly worked at Bokers Inc. and that is where she met her husband LeRoy Larson. They were married on January 8, 1966 at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Kimball. Bernice was a very compassionate person who loved and spent time with so many of her special nieces and nephews. She was a great friend to her special neighbors, who got together for coffee, cards and fish fry's. In 1971, Bernice and LeRoy moved to Buffalo where they made their home. She loved to fish, ride motorcycles across the U.S., snowmobile, travel and went on several cruises. Bernice also enjoyed playing cards, bowling, crocheting and loved to watch Wheel of Fortune. She took trips to the casino, when she was younger, she went deer hunting and cut a record in Nashville.

Survived by brothers and sisters: Ludwig (Arlene) Asfeld of Woodstock, Illinois, Leo (Betty) Asfeld of Sauk Centre, Isabella (Ralph) Simpson of Englewood, Colorado, Robert Asfeld of Beardsley, Clarence Asfeld of Buffalo and Avon (Philip) Vossen of Watkins; sisters-in-law: Lilius Asfeld, Luella Asfeld Cremers and Bernice Asfeld; siblings-in-law: Betty (Dick) Garoutte, Bev Kosse, Dave (Mary) Larson, Don Larson, Madonna (John) Adelman, A.J. (Pauline) Larson, Karen (Rich) Dokken, Ken (Dori) Larson, Nick (Lill) Larson, Vic (Fran) Larson, Norm (Joey) Larson, Cindy (Mike) Wahl; many nieces, nephews, very good neighbors and friends.

Preceded in death by husband LeRoy F. Larson in 1997, her special fur children Whiskey and Jake, her parents, brothers Philip, George and Norbert Asfeld, a sister-in-law Gerri Asfeld, by her father-in-law Ted Larson and Mother-in-law Marie.

Mass of Christian Burial for Bernice Asfeld Larson will be held on Wednesday, January 24th, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Buffalo. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery in Tracy, Minnesota.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 23rd, 2018 from 4-8 P.M. at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo. Further visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 24th one hour prior to Mass.
