Gary Becker Obituary

Gary "Beck" Roland Becker, 61

Waite Park, formerly of Redwood Falls

April 4, 1953-Feb. 12, 2015

A Celebration of Life for Gary Becker will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sat., Feb. 28 at the Eagles Aerie Club 622 in St. Cloud.

Gary "Beck" Roland Becker was born April 4, 1953 in Redwood Falls, MN to Von Eugene Becker and Margaret (Marge) Ann (Woelfel) Becker. He attended Redwood Falls High School and graduated in 1971. He then attended Willmar Junior College and Willmar Area Vocational Technical Institute where he graduated in 1973 with an Associate's Degree in Electronics. On September 23, 1989 Gary married the love of his life Julia Ann Becker at the Bishop Whipple Mission Church in Morton, MN. Gary worked most of his adult life in the construction industry and at various times tended bar. Gary loved the outdoors and was an avid photographer, hunter, golfer and fisherman (avid might be an understatement of his love for fishing). He also enjoyed playing cribbage and Texas Hold'em at the Eagles Club where he was known to stop occasionally and imbibe in a spirit or two. Gary is survived by his wife Julia of Waite Park, mother Marge of St. Cloud, sister Joleen Anderson (Mark) of Clear Lake, sister Jill Tollefson (Mark) of Willmar, Brother Jim  (Sherry) of Minneapolis, brother Brad (Erin) of Seattle, WA; 7 nieces & nephews; 5 great nieces & nephews; goddaughter, Sydney. He was preceded in death by his father Von, great-nephew, Jayden Kelley & goddaughter Sammy.
