Well Gerald, you did it your way.
You toughed it out to the very end.
There is nothing left to say except
Goodbye.Your sister, Frances

Big Jer,
Thanks for teaching me how to work on my own car, how to safely handle a firearm, and how *not* to net a fish! You fought the good fight - now rest in peace!

Jerry was one of my Dad's favorite people and he enjoyed giving him 50 cent pieces when he was a child and sharing his "home brew" with him when he grew up! As a little girl I remember driving to Mountlake Terrace to visit Jerry and his family and I was proud that he was my cousin. I thought of Jerry through the years even though keeping in touch was rare but it was always a joy to see him and swap tales! I know that he and my Dad are doing that now! He will be greatly missed here. Love, Janet and Vic Williams

I learned a lot about a lot from my toad huntin' buddy , uncle Jer. Saw Haileys' comet as a youngster in the back yard in cascade at about 3 or 4 a.m. Learned how to get porcupine quills with a tee shirt (they weren't as slow as we expected, but it worked)
I rember shooting his 44 long rifle with my back propped against his leg when I could hardly hold it up. School wasn't always more important than fishing. And who'd have thought that there is nothing ducks like better than bean dip?
Last time sockeye fishing was allowed in lake washington, we took my boat out and He caught his only lk. wa. sockeye ever. He had fished for them before, but with no luck. We really enjoyed that day, and I will treasure it always. It seems things have come full circle.
To Marlene and family - I regret our loss, and cherish the memories that are uniquely "Big Jer"
