Jeraldine Brashear Obituary

Jeraldine Brashear

It is with great sadness that the family of Jeraldine (Jerry) Brashear announces her passing on July 4th, 2014.

Jeraldine was born in Scobey, MT on June 13, 1928 to Harvey and Amy LaBerge. She grew up in Yakima, WA but spent most of her life living in Seattle until she retired and moved to Kirkland, WA in 1993. She was a life long Democrat whose passion and support of progressive social and political causes was only exceeded by her compassion and generosity towards those less fortunate then herself. She loved jazz, thoroughbred horse racing, the Seattle Mariners and Seahawks, the Public Broadcasting Network, and so many other things, but most of all she loved her family to whom she taught so much.

Jerry is survived by her brother Robert LaBerge of Everett, WA, her sons Corey Traylor of Kirkland, WA and Gregg Turay of Lake Stevens, WA, her daughters Marcy Wallace of Las Vegas, NV and J Turay of Mt Vernon, WA, and her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be missed but never forgotten by all that knew and loved her.

The family would like to express their profound gratitude to the nurses, nursing assistants, and staff at Lifecare, Mt Vernon, WA for their loving care of Jerry during her last years.
