Kirene Duarte-McJunkin, 58, born August 21, 1959 in Hutchinson, KS, passed away May 21, 2018 in Redmond.
She is survived by her husband, Patrick "Sandy" McJunkin and her children, Kyle Duarte, Trevor Walker, Taryn Walker Soushek, Taryn's husband, Taylor Soushek, and their daughter Brooklyn.
Services will be at Westminster Chapel in Bellevue at 11am May 30th. Burial to immediately follow at Cedar Lawns Memorial Park. A reception will held at Westminster at 2:30 p.m. Flowers may be sent to Westminster and memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.

Kirene was my step grandmother, she married my grandfather. she was the best grandmother I have ever had. she always made us feel welcome and loved. I love you Kirene

Kirene was my best friend when our children were young. Even though our lives took us separate ways she always remained in my heart and I always wondered how she was. My heart is broken. Kyle, Trevor and Taryn, I'm so sorry. We all know she's running with her Lord and Savior. She will truly be missed by many.

Kirene was a very sweet and special lady who will be missed, her passing leaves a big void in many lives. I will treasure some wonderful memories from the cruise this last September, and whenever I was blessed enough to spend any time with her. She was a big part of a warm and loving family.
