Mary Wells Obituary

Mary Helen Robinson WELLS Monday, March 10, 2003 Mary Helen Robinson Wells died peacefully in her sleep on March 10 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tacoma following a short illness. She was a pioneer in the field of language and learning disabilities. In 1982 she founded the Hamlin Robinson School, an elementary school in the Seattle area devoted to teaching dyslexic children. Mary Helen is survived by Edward F. Wells, her three children, Ralph Robinson of Sunnyvale, California, Katie Collins of Olympia, and Alan Robinson of Tacoma, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Services will be held at 2 p.m., on Saturday, March 15, 2003 at the Rosedale Community Center located at 8205 86th Ave. NW. (Please wear red.) Directions: from Narrows Bridge take Gig Harbor City Center exit, go thru light and down hill to Rosedale St, turn left and go 3 miles +/- to Center on right just past small store. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Hamlin Robinson School, 10211 - 12th Ave. South, Seattle, WA 98168.
