Herman & Zoe,
I offer my sympathies to you both for your loss. Nancy was my friend since she was about 15 or 16. I was her and your neighbor, Zoe on West 29 Ave in Spenard and encouraged her in her early interest in flying. Herman, you and I knew each other when I was the Trooper in King Salmon and you flew for George T. Nancy & I enjoyed social hours at Merrill Flight Service after a day of flying. I later gave you both flight checks and enroute inspections when I was an FAA Inspector. Having know Nancy since she was a teenager I can speak highly to her love of aviation and her dedication to being a professional pilot. Now, I'll bet she is teaching the angels a few professional flying techniques! She was admired, respected and loved. She will be missed!

It was a privilege to know and work with Nancy at Boeing FCT. She was trusted and respected as "one of the guys," and that is no small compliment in the pilot community. I was honored to call Herm and Nancy my friends. We will all miss her.

It was a real privilege for me to work, fly and get to know Nancy at the Flight Crew Training department of the Boeing Commercial Airplane Co. There were a lot of guys like me who were very grateful that the first lady pilot Boeing hired to work in the Flight Crew Training department was a good pilot (emphasis on "good pilot"!)and a wonderful person like Nancy. My condolences to Herman and the family for their loss.
