Paul Christopher "Chick" Mamon

Chick Mamon passed away February 11, 2016 in Seattle after an extended illness. Chick was born March 26, 1948 to Leopold and Rose Mamon in French Camp, California.

Chick graduated from Franklin High School in Seattle, attended the University of Washington after having served and wounded in combat during the Vietnam conflict, and later attended the University of Washington.

He accelerated in all sports and competed at high levels in track, football, basketball and baseball as well as being a huge fan of college and Seattle professional sports teams. Baseball was his favorite sport as he continued to play hardball into his sixties before tragically losing his ability to walk due to a benign spinal tumor.

Chick will be remembered for his quick wit and sense of humor, his passion, and his vast knowledge.

He is survived by his son, Darian; brother Tony; sister, Janelle Patrice Gaitn; niece Sena Curtis and nephews Shawn, J.J. and Derrick. Chick was preceded in death by his father, mother and two brothers, Rod and Michael.

A Celebration of Life-Potluck will be held on Sunday March 20 from 1-5 pm at The Golden Gardens Bath House in Seattle, WA.

A Chinese Lantern Lightning will be held at 5:00 pm.

Dress attire requested is Seattle Mariners attire in his honor. (his favorite Seattle team)

Heartfelt sympathies to family and loved ones. Chick lived and played passionately. He upheld the honor of our flag with his combat service in Vietnam and was wounded in action. A friend, teammate, gym rat partner and brother Pinoy. Never forgotten.
