To Phil's family, I always remember Phil even though we lost contact years ago. I knew him in the 60's, when I just moved to Seattle from a very small town, and was so eager to learn about life. He introduced me to the Goon Show and other wonderful British humor. He helped me find a life long love of opera. He was a truly kind man, and I have never forgotten him.

Dear Mitchell Family,
Phil was a fantastic person. I remember meeting him for the first time at the age of 17 when Martin invited me over to their home. Phil welcomed me with open arms and invited me to stay for dinner that evening. I had never tasted tuna casserole topped with potato chips until then! It was the first of many yummy meals he would later cook for me. He was always welcoming, kind and sweet to me and later to my husband, Ray. Phil treated me like a daughter and I will always remember him with much fondness and love. Ray and I will miss his humor, laughter and the twinkle in his eyes. We are thankful for the opportunity to have had Phil in our lives. He truly was a blessing. With much love, The Minton Family.

Hi Martin, Garrett informed us about the passing of your father. I did not know him too well but I remember him being a very easy going person. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time. Take care.

"Uncle Phil" was my godfather. I was so lucky and blessed to have such a wonderful person in my life. When I was young I used to receive the most unusual gifts from this very eclectic man. We shared a passion for cats and would share many stories about them. I will miss him very much. Thank you to the family for being such an important part of our lives. I'm glad that my dad and Phil are together creating havoc up there!! Miss you & love you.

What a friend he was, to Don Anderson and the whole Anderson family. Christmas won't be the same -- no card from Phil with musings and words of wisdom. Looked forward to them every year. Blessings to the family. He was a great man.
