Agnes Rovenia Phillips
SEDALIA — Agnes Rovenia Phillips, 80, of Sedalia, died Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at the Sylvia G. Thompson Residence Center.
Graveside services will be held Friday, February 6, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville with the Rev. Robert Sisney officiating. Friends may call Friday at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Condolences may be left online at www.mclaughlinfuneralchapel.com.
Born March 20, 1934 in Sedalia, she was the daughter of the late James S. and Wealthy M. Christy Cole. On May 5, 1972 in Sedalia, she married Lee Roy Phillips who preceded her in death on August 3, 2004. Surviving are a son Derek Phillips of Blue Springs; a granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.
Mrs. Phillips was raised and educated in Sedalia. She worked as a secretary in the medical field for many years.
