WARRENSBURG — Grace S. Brandt, 93, of Concordia, MO, died Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Concordia with Pastor Harold Block officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Concordia. Memorials are suggested to St. Paul's Lutheran Church and School or Good Shepherd Auxiliary. Born January 27, 1924 in rural Concordia, she was the daughter of the late Otto F. Schutte and Frieda Wodrich Schutte. Grace lived in the Concordia area most of her life where she attended Eastwood School, St. Paul's Lutheran School and graduated from Concordia High School. On April 6, 1947 she married Omar J. Brandt who preceded her in death on June 23, 1996.

After high school, Grace worked in Higginsville and Kansas City for several years, and then returned to Concordia after she was married and lived on the family farm for 30 years. When the Lutheran Good Shepherd Home opened she worked as a nurse's aide, and then worked as a secretary at St. Paul's Lutheran School for over 25 years. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Lutheran Good Shepherd Home Auxiliary, American Legion Post 258 Auxiliary, V.F.W. Post 5649 Auxiliary, and was an American Red Cross volunteer.

Survivors include one daughter, Mary R. Vogt of Concordia; one son, Paul Brandt and wife Lois of Concordia; six grandchildren: Tammy Vogt, Tonya Mueller and husband Michael, Tricia Wisbrock and husband Brian, Aaron Brandt, Andrew Brandt, and Alan Brandt and wife Kathleen; three great-grandchildren: Chelsea Roth and husband David, Courtney Dalton and husband Jack, and Cadence Wisbrock; one great-great-granddaughter, Emma Dalton; as well as nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Russell Vogt; a granddaughter, Tracy Vogt; and two brothers, Ralph Schutte and Wallace Schutte.
