April 14, 1960 - June 12, 2017
Alex was born in San Francisco on April 14, 1960. He attended Lowell High and the United States Military Academy at West Point, graduating in 1982 with a degree in Engineering. Alex served as a US Army officer for over 10 years. After leaving the Army with a rank of Major, he worked at a number of Bay Area high tech companies in project management roles.He is survived by his father and stepmother, Edward Sung (Jennifer), his fiance Stephanie (son Aaron), his two elder siblings, Felix (Liza), Tina (William), his 5 nephews, Aaron, Nicholas, Elliot, Kyle, Anthony, niece Kelly.
A memorial will be held at Duggan's Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Ave, Daly City, CA on June 30, 2017 at noon. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Valdez Charitable Foundation www.valdezfoundation.org
