Henry Aguirre Obituary

Henry Joseph Aguirre, Jr. Born in San Francisco, he passed away unexpectedly in his sleep at his home on December 10, 2007 at the age of 71. Loving husband to Ning for 22 years; loving father to three beautiful daughters, Veronica, Stephenie, and Christina. Henry graduated from Sacred Heart High School in San Francisco, class of 1955, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Did his duty for his country as a sergeant in the US Army. Upon returning, Henry worked as an electrician at Pacific Coast shipyard, before working for Westinghouse on BART signal system. Westinghouse sent him to Brazil where he established a transit signal system. Henry was dedicated to SF Municipal Railway where he worked for 20 years as a signal and electronic maintenance supervisor, establishing and maintaining the subway signal system and working at the MUNI Potrero division before retiring. He quietly enjoyed his family and helped school communities after retiring. Henry loved traveling with his family - his favorite was a Spain home of his ancestors. A heartfelt, funny, patient guy who loved to hug and make jokes. He was always there for his wife. A proud father, he kept his daughters smiling with his jokes and stories of the "good ol' days." He was a wonderful, caring, and supportive daddy with a good sense of humor. Funeral Services have been held. Online condolences may be offered at www.vmpandco.com.
