Joan Walsh Obituary

Joan A. Walsh
April 13, 1936 - December 17, 2021
Joan, a native and proud life-long resident of San Francisco, passed peacefully on December 17, 2021. Preceded in death by her beloved brother, James R. Walsh. Survived by her beloved sisters, Janet (Glenn) Holton, and June (Scott) Allegro-Gambill. Loving Aunt of Katherine (Del) Gilbert, James (Jeanne) Walsh, Terri (Kenny) Morey, Julie P. Allegro and Jacqueline (Javier) Hernandez. Loving Great Aunt to Christopher Walsh, Kevin Walsh, Jaidan Hernandez and Justin Hernandez.

Joan graduated from Immaculate Conception Academy on a Friday in June of 1954 and went to work the next Monday morning for Avansino Mortensen Flower Growers, and worked there for many years. Joan eventually retired from the Teamsters' Union Local 665. Joan enjoyed SF Musical Theatre and the SF Symphony. She was an avid 49er Fan and a season ticket holder. Joan also really enjoyed bus trips with her pals to casinos in Tahoe and Reno. There will be a private celebration of her life in the Spring of 2022.
