Joseph Jorajuria Obituary

Joseph Jorajuria 1936 - 2008 After fighting a courageous six and a half year battle with multiple myeloma, Joseph passed away peacefully in his home on Jan. 15, 2008 at the age of 71. Born in the small town of Ahetze, France, Joseph journeyed to America, as a gardener, where he met his beloved wife of 46 years, Sara. Loving father and father-in-law to Tony and Tami, Marieanne, Frances and Pierre and Alice and Chuck and adored "Aitatchi" to William, Gaby, Roni, Nathalie, Joseph, Charlie and Justine. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Etienne and Alice and his sister and brother-in-law, Marie Jean and Pierre. Joseph was also loved by his nephews, nieces and many of his friends. An active member of the Basque Cultural Center, Joseph loved to hunt with his brother and friends, go fishing and camping with his grand kids and sing in the Basque choir. He will be forever in our hearts and will be greatly missed. We would like to thank Dr. Feiner and Dr. Villacorte for the excellent care. Without you he would not have made it so far. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008, 10:30am at Notre Dame des Victoires, 566 Bush St., SF, CA. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (www.multiplemyeloma.org).
