Lucia Flaherty Obituary
Lifelong member of Epiphany Parish and a true fan of the Warriors, Giants and 49ers. Lucia leaves behind a wealth of friends in the Rio Nido Homeowners Association, the Doelger Center and the YLI.
Lucia was a beautiful woman who lived a long and fulfilling life dedicated to family and friends and a surrogate mother to all. She was endlessly proud of her seven children 14 grandchildren and one great grandchild. We are rich with many memories of her but are nevertheless heartbroken at her sudden passing.
Friends may visit Saturday, June 30th at 12:30 p.m. at Church of the Epiphany, 827 Vienna Street, San Francisco, where a funeral mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. Interment, Monday, Holy Cross Cemetery. Donations to the Doelger Senior Center, Archbishop Riordan High School or Church of the Epiphany preferred.

To all the Flaherty kids I grew up on Lapham Way with ; I Loved Lucia & Big John very much. My deepest sympathies for your loss. You were all the greatest neighbors anyone could ever ask for. With Lucy's passing it is truly the end of an era. We were all so lucky to have been brought up in such a warm,loving community. I will keep all of you in my prayers. All of the parents on Lapham Way looked out for all of the block kids, and were all such close friends with each other. I'll always cherish the memories of Parish picnics at Marin Town & Country Club, and the block picnics we shared.

To the wonderful extended Family, I remember Lucy so well from Epiphany and the Rio Nido barbecues. Such a great example of a strong matriarch, who lived a long, fulfilling live. My condolences to you all.
