Norman Phelps Obituary
1942 - 2016
Norm passed away in the early morning hours of Thursday, May 19, 2016. He was born in Chicago in 1942 and when he was 4 the family moved to Chino in Southern California . After high school he attended the University of Wyoming in Laramie and then the University of the Pacific in Stockton, graduating in 1965 with a BS degree in Pharmacy. He worked as a pharmacist for 50 years, retiring just a few years ago. He worked at various retail and hospital pharmacies in and around San Francisco, and thrived on helping his patients to become well again, as well as mentoring pharmacy students. He last worked at the Walgreens store on Lombard and Divisadero, where patients continue to ask about him. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane; daughters Samantha and Damienne; three grandchildren, Paolo, Finley, and Isla; his sister, Linda Zinck; his brother, Fred Phelps; and many cousins. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 24, between 1 and 2, at Sts. Peter and Paul Church in North Beach, with a mass following at 2 p.m. Burial will be private.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

My condolences to the family. He was a great mentor to me. I enjoyed working and learning from him. He has impacted so many lives. He is definitely missed.
