November 15, 1950 - November 11, 2018
At age 67, Paul passed away at his home on Sunday, November 11, 2018. He is survived by his siblings, Diana, Marianne, Loretta, Gerard, Jeanne, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Harold Taylor, and his brother Douglas.A native San Franciscan, Paul grew up in the Sunset district, graduated from Sacred Heart High School and San Francisco State University. A very gregarious and sociable person, Paul shared his life with many, many friends from all his varied interests and activities. He was the founder and lead vocalist of the band Montara Mountain Boys as well as a recorded songwriter and a member of ASCAP. An outdoor enthusiast, Paul was in particular an avid hiker always leading the way four to five paces ahead of everyone. In addition, he traveled, enjoyed photography and had a good eye for art.
For the majority of his long teaching career, Paul taught primarily 7th Grade but Grades 1-8 as well. A beloved teacher at Epiphany School for many years where he taught several generations of students including the children of former students. He also taught briefly and was vice principal at Notre Dame des Victoires.
Paul will be missed and long remembered by his family, many friends, colleagues, students and their families.
All are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Wednesday, December 12 at 1:00pm at Church of the Epiphany, Vienna and Amazon Streets, SF.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the March of Dimes, Easterseals or a charity of your choice.

Paul and I go back to pre-kindergarten on 29th Avenue, in the Parkside, San Francisco. He always amazed me by remembering things of our pass that I didn't remember until he mentioned those things.
He will always be in my heart as a dear life long friend. It is hard to believe that he is gone.

To Paul's family and friends, my wife Veronica and I are deeply saddened by the loss of a man with many talents. He was a great man, teacher and friend. We met at the monthly music jam at the El Rio bar on Mission Street, San Francisco. I played music with Paul and his band on numerous occasions. His music stays close to our hearts.
