Carol Fenimore, 60 of Rushville, passed away July 8, 2023 in Rushville at her home. She was born January 12, 1963 in Noblesville, IN to the late James and Barbara J. (Patrick) Massie. Carol was a 1981 graduate of Rushville Consolidated High School. She received her Bachelor's Degree in 1985 in Animal Science from Purdue University. Carol studied for her Masters of Science at Indiana University. She married Dr. Craig Fenimore on July 2, 1988 and he survives.
Carol taught at Morristown High School for 5 years and had taught Freshman biology at Rushville Consolidated High School from 2001-2020. She was the science department chairperson at RCHS and also sponsored the senior class. Carol loved the time spent with her family and fur babies. She enjoyed cooking, collecting recipes, camping, hiking, bird watching and all animals.
In addition to her husband, Craig, she is survived by her daughters, Chelsea Fenimore and Kera Fenimore both of Franklin, IN; siblings, Dennis K. Massie of West Lafayette, IN and Denise "DeeDee" (Don) Watkins of Galveston, IN.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents and sister-in-law, Sheri Massie.
A Celebration of Carol's life will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, July 14, 2023 in St Paul's United Methodist church with Pastor Lonnie Goen presiding. Friends are welcome to visit the family from 12:30 p.m. until time of service on Friday at the church. Private burial will be held in East Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Benesse Oncology Center, 2455 Intelliplex Drive, Shelbyville, IN 46176, RCHS Science Wing, St. Paul's United Methodist Church or to Our Hospice of Southern Indiana.
