Carson B. Smiley, 75, of Rushville passed away Thursday, March 3, 2022 at his residence.
He was born August 27, 1946 in Shelbyville to Herman B. Smiley and Mary M. (Shrader) Smiley.
Carson was a carpenter. He enjoyed going to car shows and loved cleaning his own car. He also enjoyed drinking Pepsi, and watching Tik Tok. Some of his greatest times were spent with his family and cracking jokes.
Carson is survived by his daughter, Crystl (Mike) Pointer of Rushville; daughter, Bobbie (Eric) Norred of Greensburg; sons, Carson J. Smiley, Shane Smiley, and Keith Smiley, all of Shelbyville, daughter, Carletta of Kansas; grandchildren Cora Ortiz, Exstacy Goodman, Tyler Smiley, Amber Smiley, Mariah Garner, Brandon Smiley, Luke Duke, Mike Pointer, Jr, Rhyker Smiley, Londyn Smiley and Keith Smiley, Jr; 20 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers, and 4 sisters.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Herman Smiley, Donald Huff, David Smiley, and Thomas Smiley, great-granddaughters, Amora Smiley, Kylee Hatfield, and Ka 'Harii' Goodman.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at Murphy-Parks Funeral Services, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN.
Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Jose Rivera officiating.
Funeral Directors Greg, Sheila, and Stuart Parks are honored to serve Carson's family.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Carson Smiley funeral fund in care of the funeral home.
