David Reid Obituary

David Earl Reid, 77

David Earl Reid, 77, of Pinehurst, ID passed away on November 6, 2023 at the Schneidmiller Hospice House in Coeur d'Alene, ID. David was born on March 26, 1946 in Seattle, WA, a son of the late James E Reid and Betty (Poetter) Reid.

David graduated from Kellogg High School, moved to Oregon where he worked for Georgia Pacific and later changed career paths and became a truck driver, something he was very proud of. He enjoyed spending time riding his ATV and spending his days in his shop. David married "Judy "Casteel on October 23, 2001 in Coeur d'Alene, ID.

In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by his wife, Judy Reid, who passed away September 22, 2021; one brother, Donald Reid; and a sister, Connie Pennington.

Survivors include his daughter Tammy (Scott) Schreier of Pinehurst, ID, 2 Sons John (Yvette) Reid of Kingston, ID and Joseph Reid of Cottage Grove, OR; step children, Brad (Kim) Williams of Hayward, CA, Julie (Mike) Hill of Camas, WA, and Sylvia (Dave) Kelly of Danville, IN; 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; two sisters Linda Rice of Missoula, MT, and Judy (Tom) Rose of Smelterville, ID.

At David's request, cremation has taken place and no services are planned.
