Anthony Modica Obituary
BOSSIER CITY, LA - A funeral Mass for Anthony Joseph "AJ" Modica will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday, December 19, 2011 at Christ the King Catholic Church. Officiating will be Father Charles Glorioso and Msgr. Carson LaCaze. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, December18, 2011 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City.
Mr. Modica was born May 29, 1940 in Shreveport, LA to Peter Albano and Carmello Cascio Modica of Monreale and Cefalu, Sicily. He died on December 14, 2011 in Bossier City, LA. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. A.J. was a 1958 graduate of St. John's High School and a 1962 graduate of USL. He was a well-respected farmer and rancher in Bossier Parish, having succeeded his father.
He is survived by his sons, Anthony Joseph Modica, Jr. and wife Johnna of Atlanta, GA, Peter Andrew Modica and wife Debra of Dallas, TX; daughter, Rose Maria Modica of Bossier City; the mother of his children, Connie Modica, grandchildren, Jessica Modica, Andrew Modica, Alexandra Modica, Anna Modica, Mitchell Modica, Anthony Modica, III and Andria Modica and his close cousins, Raymond Modica, Rocky Cascio and Tommy Cascio.
Serving as pallbearers will be Raymond Modica, Tommy Cascio, Rocky Cascio, Andrew Modica, Mitchell Modica, and Anthony Joseph Modica, III.

Joe Your father had excellent Confidence
in you and Loved his children. Believe me
we have been a close friend for years.
It is up to you now to carry on.
I know it is in good hands.
May God Bless you all in this sad occasion. He often checked with me about
my Grandson, Baseball Coach at Loyola College Prep. He was proud of his family.
