The Coates'

I want you to know that Steve is greatly missed. He was more than a boss, he was a friend and confidant. Your family has been like an extended family to me and mine.Steve would give the shirt off his back if he thought someone else needed it. He was a very caring and outgoing person, greeted everyone with a smile, and was very proud of his family and friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with y'all and we are never more than a phone call away.

Our deepest sympathy is with the family during this time. I wanted to express gratitude to Steve for always making my family welcome at his store and this whole community. He was the first person my husband, Rodney, and I met when we first moved to Stonewall 10 years ago. He was such a nice & outgoing person to us from the start and remained so after all this time. My 2 daughters were very sad to hear about "Steve at the Texaco" (as they knew him) and offered up prayers for him & his family. God Bless You All!!
