Thomas Arnold Obituary
Shreveport, LA - Memorial services celebrating the life of Thomas Lee Arnold, 70, will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, April 26, 2013 at First United Methodist Church, Couch Chapel. Officiating will be Dr. Pat Day.
Thomas went to be with our Heavenly Father peacefully at his home, on April 18, 2013, in Destin, FL after a lengthy illness. Born in Campti, LA, resident of Shreveport for over 40 years, he resided in Destin, FL for the past 4 years. He was the owner of Belle Cheri Land Co. Thomas had been in the land development business for the past 35 years. He was an Army Officer, also graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in accounting. Thomas was a former member, of the Krewe of Gemini, also a former member of, the Cotillion Club. Thomas was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting especially in Canada and Mexico. Thomas loved to travel, dance, and most of all loved to entertain and cook for his friends and family.
Mr. Arnold was preceded in death by; his wife of 44 years, Cherryll Young Arnold; son, Clayton Young Arnold; parents, Calvin and Daisy Carruth Arnold; brother, Calvin Arnold.
Left to cherish Mr. Arnold's precious memory are his wife, Judy Ann Guidry Arnold; Daughter and son-in-law, Charis Arnold Kirk and Jason Kilpatrick Kirk , of Shreveport, LA; grandchildren, Alexander Young Arnold and Cassidy Lee Kirk, both of Shreveport, LA; sister, Mary Arnold Hernandez, of Shreveport, LA; nephews, Michael , Andy, and Stephen Hernandez, David and Barry Arnold.
Honorary pallbearers will be; Chuck Adkins, James Arnold, Jason Kirk, Charlie Rogers and Wayne Smith and Greg Tilly.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donation may be made to the American Cancer Society.

My condolences to the family of Thomas. I haven't seen him since high school, but I remember him as to coolest guy my age in Campti. Just this year I mentioned him in a book about growing up in Fairview Alpha I wrote for my grandchildren. I have wonderful memories of Thomas Arnold.
