Dear Richardson family, I have so many fond memories babysitting for the boys at your house when I was in high school. What I remember most about Wesley was how much fun she was, and that you guys really enjoyed life. My sincere condolences to Mr. Richardson (Donnie) and the boys (all grown up) --- Teighlor Simon March.

Wesley will always be remembered as a very generous person whose enthusiasm for life was & will always be infectious. I shall always admire her tireless efforts to make our Byrd H.S. '63 a great experience for all attendees, as well as for those unable to attend. Weren't we a lucky bunch to have been in her graduating class, but also to have a glimpse at the powerhouse she became? An amazing woman!

Wesley and I spent a great deal of our teen years dancing together in her big white house on the hill. We practiced all the new steps and even made up some of our own. The only time I almost wore out my welcome was when I took her for a spin in her family's Austin Healey and completely tore out both tail pipes and the entire muffler system. The last time we danced together was approximately twenty years ago at a friend's birthday party, and she still had all of her great moves!
Vaya con Dios, Pretty Lady.

I can't tell you how sad it makes me to think we've lost Wesley. She was a great friend and a wonderful person. We all appreciated the extensive work Wesley did on the Byrd '63 Reunion, and we will all will miss her greatly. I first met Wesley when me and the other guys from the North Highlands Gang (Sydney Boone, Sammy Duncan, Dick Hollenshead, etc.) would ride our Cushman Eagles clear across town (to the "Silk Stocking" neighborhood as my Aunt used to say)to meet up with Wesley and her beautiful girlfriends (Kay, CoCo, Suzybelle, etc.) in that wonderful big white house on the hill. It was like a young man's dream to find that the world was populated by young ladies as smart, attractive and interesting as Wesley. You see we were from the wrong sode of the tracks and went to Hamilton Terrace, and these sophisticated Broodmoor girls were mind-bogeling attractive. Wesley, with her gorgeous red hair, had looks that were out of this world, and a spunky, funny personality that made her - to our young eyes - LARGER than life. To these very OLD eyes, she still had those same astonishing qualities this past year. We've lost a rare and special lady, and I will miss her very much.

I only knew Wesley from afar, but she was such a presence at our school. I certainly knew who she was, although I doubt she knew me. That's what a force she was. One just had to take notice. Such a loss and far too young to be taken.
