Talking with Al always brought a smile. I met Al and his father, through R&A. We always had our past times of old cars to talk over and talk of his trips to the Black Hills. Our last conversation about car parts, occurred at Lallys, very recently. I was quite shocked to learn of his passing. I pray for comfort in your loss. I know I will miss running into him.

I have found memories of being around Al during school & hanging around uptown as a bunch of friends. He was an all-around nice friend. He would always acknowledge you & chat with ya when he encountered you. I remember your wedding Sharon - You made a great pair! I can see where he would have been a fantastic grandpa! Peace to you & your family - cherish the memories til you meet again.

I only met Al a few times ( with his brother-in-law, Jerry). I enjoyed spending time with Al and I know he will be missed by many. So sorry for your loss. Dude

Dear Sharon and family, we are stunned by the loss you are experiencing. We trust Al is in the care of our Savior now enjoying the company of the saints gone before him.
This trust and knowledge does not change the depth of grief and loss but it's reality reminds us that God is with through it all and He alone knows the pain you are going through and He alone can bring comfort amid tragedy.
And He alone will see to it that we are all together again one day.

Gone From My Sight by Henry Van Dyke
I am standing upon the seashore. A ship, at my side,
spreads her white sails to the moving breeze and starts
for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength.
I stand and watch her until, at length, she hangs like a speck
of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other.
Then, someone at my side says, "There, she is gone."
Gone where?
Gone from my sight. That is all. She is just as large in mast,
hull and spar as she was when she left my side.
And, she is just as able to bear her load of living freight to her destined port.
Her diminished size is in me -- not in her.
And, just at the moment when someone says, "There, she is gone,"
there are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices
ready to take up the glad shout, "Here she comes!"

So sorry for Al's passing! He will be greatly missed. A kind man who greeted everyone with a gentle, friendly greeting and a hearty laugh that everyone recognized. Sincere sympathy to the entire family. Sorry we were unable to attend the services. Praying for your comfort and peace!

Sharon and daughters...I wish to extend my thoughts & prayers at this time and later. Allen was needed in Heaven and I just know he is there- seeing friends & family, and helping the Lord. remember- you will see Al later- in Heaven. what a joyous time that shall be. Take care,
