Kathleen L. "Kathy" Hansel
SIOUX CITY - Kathleen L. "Kathy" Hansel, 73, of Sioux City passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at a local hospital.
Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, October 5, 2023, at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, October 4, 2023, from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Kathy was born February 4, 1950, in Sioux City, the daughter of Ralph and Eunice (Sorenson) Hansel. She graduated from Central High School. Kathy worked at various restaurants in the Siouxland area and did housekeeping as well. She enjoyed reading, crosswords, puzzles, painting by numbers, bowling, gambling, and watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. She was a member of the American Businesswomen Association.
Kathy is survived by her sister Angela Hill of Ireton, IA; nieces and nephews: Sean Blenderman (Giselle), Amy Williams (Trenton), and Jamie Amick (Darin); and great nieces and nephews: Zac, Peyton, Luke, Remi and Carter Blenderman, Noah, Jonah, and Ronin Williams, Christiaan, Taylon, and Alexa Amick.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Eunice, and her sister Bonnie Blenderman.
