Bettie Rapps Obituary
Springfield, IL—Bettie L. Rapps, 93, of Springfield died at 5:08 am, Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Memorial Medical Center. She was born February 17, 1927 in Peoria, IL to Osmar L. and Leota Meaney Brown. She married Thomas J. Rapps on November 6, 1948 and he preceded her in death on September 25, 2019.
She is survived by three children, Dennis Rapps, Nancy Rapps and Tim (Christy Maupin) Rapps, all of Springfield, and one grandson, Matthew (Alicia) Rapps also of Springfield.
Bettie worked as an executive secretary at Franklin Life Insurance Company and at the Illinois Board of Higher Education. She retired from the Sacred Heart Credit Union.
Bettie was a member of Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.
Private burial will take place at Camp Butler National Cemetery. A memorial mass will be held at a later date.
CDC Protocol shall be followed.
