Jo Ann Carter Harrelson

WILMINGTON, N.C. | Jo Ann Carter Harrelson, died Monday, December 15, 2003 at her home.



She was born in Conway, S.C. on Aug. 10, 1937, daughter of the late Reverend Robert Burroughs Carter and Willie Cox Carter.



She was a member of First Baptist Church and was a long time group leader with the Bible Study Fellowship of Wilmington.



Mrs. Harrelson is survived by her husband of 45 years, Bobby W. Harrelson, of the home; two daughters, Kimberly Harrelson Exum and husband, Bert of Wilmington, and Greta Harrelson Phillips and husband, Daryl of Richmond, Va.; four grandchildren, Robert, Eli and Ann Carter Exum, of Wilmington, and Jamey Phillips of Richmond, Va.; three sisters Carolyn Lupo and husband, Tom of Green Sea, S.C., Gena Lambert of Conway, S.C. and Kaye Caldwell and husband, C.C. of Loris, S.C.; and a brother, Ray Carter and wife, Pat of Latta, S.C.



The funeral will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2003, at First Baptist Church by the Rev. Mike Queen and the Rev. Jim Everette. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. Burial will be private in the family cemetery. Andrews Mortuary, Market Street Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
