Phyllis Kelly Obituary
Springfield, IL—Phyllis Y. Kelly, 84, of Springfield, died at 10:05 pm, Saturday, December 9, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born July 21, 1933 in Peoria, to Lyman and Marie (O'Neill) Lee. She married Robert M. Kelly in 1957 and he survives.
Also surviving are five children, Vicky (Doug Eden) Kelly of Chatham, Patrick Kelly of Chicago, Tom (Lucy) Kelly of Springfield, Jim (Diana) Kelly of New Berlin and Dennis (Stacy) Kelly of Springfield; eight grandchildren, Tabitha (Billy), Josh (Kaylei), Denae (Zeke), Matt, Shane, Katy, Zach and Ben; three great grandchildren, Cadence, Lylah and Halle, one sister, Sharon Walker of Germantown, TN and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; nephew, Marc Walker and grandnephew, Ryan Walker.
Phyllis was a homemaker and had worked for Illinois Bell Telephone Company. She was a member of Christ the King Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir for many years. She was a graduate of St. Bernard's Grade School and Woodruff High School in Peoria.
Phyllis enjoyed travelling with her family and special friends.
Visitation: 4 - 7 pm, Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.
Funeral Mass: 10:30 am, Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Christ the King Church with Monsignor David Lantz officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
