Robert Kerrn Obituary
Springfield, IL—Robert J. Kerrn, 55, of Springfield, passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Heritage Health Center.
Robert was born July 14, 1962 in Peoria, the son of Casper and Catherine Jones Kerrn. He married Cynthia Darwell in 1996; she preceded him in death.
Robert graduated from Rochester High School in 1981 and had joined the Springfield Fire Department Explorer Program. He was veteran of the US Air Force serving as a Fire Protection Specialist from 1982-1986. He completed the Certified Fire Fighters 2 program at LLCC and went on to join BLM Fire Boss, traveling across the country fighting forest fires. He later worked for the Mechanicsburg Fire and Rescue Squad retiring as the Deputy Chief. He was chaplain of American Legion Post 32 and enjoyed photography and RC Cars.
He was also preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his brother, Todd Kerrn of Temecula CA; three nieces; and one nephew.
Visitation will be from 5-7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 2, 2018 at Wilson Park Funeral Home in Rochester. Funeral services will be at 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at the funeral home with Fr. Adam Pritchard officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.

Sympathy goes out to the family and friends during this most difficult time. I hope that the promise at 1Thessalonians 4:14 will bring you comfort. Knowing that there is a future for the ones we have lost in death can be reassuring.
