I met Don while stationed at Fort Wolters (Primary Helicopter) in Mineral Wells Texas in 1971. I loved the guy right away, and so did my girlfriend Sue. He moved in with us, they fell in love, and departed to Washington state when Don was done with the Army. I got to stay in til 73. We maintained contact every now and then, not as much as I'd have liked to but life and a family to raise is busy, right? Two finer people who were more meant to be together will not be found on this planet soon...Dean, MA, CRC, LMHCA, MHP...I will always love both of you.

Your loss has been felt by many, including by our great God Jehovah. He promises that we can see them again. They will live on the earth, in peace and forever. Palms 9-11, 29.

Don was a good friend all through school. As I went in the Navy & he the Army, I lost contact until last month finding him on face book.
May God bless you in this time & for ever more.

As one of his sisters, I can say that the world was better off with him in it. We miss him dearly and grieve particularly for Susan, Jay, Corey and Jaia. God is so good to move us forward with special memories and eventually making peace with this loss.

What a great friend Don was for over thirty years! So many good memories-camping in your front yard for seven weeks, Friday night dinners with the rest of you watching movies while I slept on the couch, Big Lake, Don and the men hunting while we women had girl time sleepovers, raising our kids together, Don's fortieth birthday party and thinking "We have friends that are forty!", the Britt house, and so many more. Don will be forever in our hearts.
