Sally Dianne Hansen

1943 - 2018

Sally Dianne Hansen (Kiczenski) was born on November 10, 1943, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan to her parents Selma L. Kiczenski (Holmstrom) and Joseph J. Kiczenski. She passed away peacefully on December 1st, 2018 after many years of battling illnesses. She joins her parents, two older brothers: Ken Kiczenski and Garry Kiczenski and her husband: Neil C. Hansen.
She is survived by two sisters: Patricia Bentley and Carol Cihak (Duff) and her five children: Deborah L. Pavlat (Phillip), Catherine A. France (Jim), Jacquelyn M. Tomaszewski (Ray), Steven M. Spencer and John J. Spencer from her first marriage to John H. Spencer. She is also survived by twenty-four grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
Sally enjoyed going to several country music concerts at the Kewadin Casino over the years. Her favorite place to eat was the West Pier on a summer day while watching the freighters at the Soo Locks. She was a devoted parishioner at St. Joseph Church and loved Saturday evening mass. She was proud to be of Polish, Swedish, and Finnish heritage. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Sally's memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2018, at 12:10 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. For her services, we are asking for flowers to be sent to St. Joseph Church or donations to be made to the EUP Ball Hospice House as they provided wonderful care for Sally's last days.
