I also graduated with wimpy in 1957. I also lived not too far from him and remember the year his father got a brand new car with self adjusting rear shocks. We were all amazed and fascinated with the new car. Mike Mullen

I went to Holy Cross with Wimpy. He was my first love in grade school. He use to pick me up at 1201 N Wilber St. and he would put me on his handle bars and we would ride over to Meussle Park to the soft ball games. He was a lot of fun to be with. We were very close through 8 th grade and then lost track of each other because we went to different high schools. I remember he gave me a ring that I thought were real diamonds. I have so often thought of him and wondered what life had brought him . I was saddened to read his obit., But glad to know he had a full life and has children to carry on his name and memories. My heart goes out to all of you for your loss.

Jim and his family lived down the street from us on Adams Street in South Bend. "Wimpy" was always someone we all looked up to as he was active in all the school activities, especially at Central High School. Our deepest condolences to the Grillo Family. Jerry and Maxine Halasz.

To the family of Jim Grillo: My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. I grew up in South Bend and graduated from Central HS with Jim in 1957. I remember Jim as a friendly, fun guy. I was in attendance at our 50-year class reunion in June. A large number of members attended, and we really had a great time. Jim will be missed. God bless you all.
