Linda Mocaby Obituary
MISHAWAKA -- Linda Kay Mocaby, 60, passed away Friday, May 21st, at 8:05 a.m. in Unity Medical Surgical Hospital in Mishawaka. Linda was born November 27, 1949, in South Bend, IN, to Charles and Helen Shields. On October 8, 1994, in South Bend, she married Leslie Howard Mocaby, who preceded her in death on May 13, 2003. She was also preceded in death by her father, Charles Shields. Linda is survived by her mother, Helen Shields of Bremen; and three sisters, Sharon Steele of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, Janet (Roger) Grimm of Nappanee, IN, Donna Newcomer of Mishawaka; and one brother, Jack (Pam) Shields of Granger. Linda was employed by AM General for nearly 39 years. Linda was well-loved by many, and those fortunate enough to have known her knew how much she enjoyed cooking and entertaining, especially her annual Christmas party. A lover of dogs, she loved spoiling her puggle, Sassy. Her quick wit and constant smile will be missed. Friend may call Tuesday from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home, with Rev. My condolences to Linda's family during this difficult time. Although I never met her face to face, she was always helpful and great to work with the past 5 + years. I always felt her "smile" when I spoke to her on the phone. Thanks for everything Linda...may you rest in peace.

Wishing Linda's family peace upon her transition. She has been such an inspiration to many and will be remembered for eternity. As a member of Prime Singles, I imagine that Unny, Mari and others who have gone before are celebrating their reunion and soaring high on wings of humor, joy and love. I had the great opertunity to go down to AM general and meet LInda after years of speaking to her on the phone , I spent and eveing with her and her husband Les having dinner and a swim in their pool.. Helen, Donna, Janet, Sharon and Jack,
I'm still in shock at the news of Linda's passing. I have so many precious memories of all the times we were together. We had 46 years of friendship and good times. She will always be in my heart.
