Marjorie B. Richardson Nov. 18, 1925 - April 14, 2014 NILES - Marjorie B. Richardson, age 88 years, of Niles, Michigan, died on Monday, April 14, 2014, at Allegan Country Estate in Allegan, Michigan, following a brief illness. She was born November 18, 1925, in Cassopolis, to Leonard and Bessie (Seals) Steinman. Marjorie graduated from Cassopolis High School in 1943 and soon moved to Niles. She was employed by Simplicity Pattern Company, then by Sears & Roebuck retail store in Niles, and had also worked in the offices of Williams' Brothers Supply Company in Niles. Marjorie was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Niles. On Sept. 5, 1947, Marjorie married Robert Harold Richardson. He preceded her in death but from their union survives a son, Michael (& Suzanne) Richardson, granddaughter, Jennifer (& Chris) Conrad, all of Allegan, grandson, David (& Tara) Richardson of Kalamazoo, and one great-grandson, Cadel Conrad. Marjorie is also survived by a sister, Barbara Barter of Cassopolis; brother, Darcy Steinman of St. Joseph, MI; sisters-in-law, Betty Haslip of Edwardsburg and Anna Shepard of Three Rivers; brother-in-law, Claude Richardson of Niles; and several nieces and nephews. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, sister Daisy Miller and half-brother Pete Long. Funeral services for Marjorie B. Richardson will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 18, 2014, at Wesley United Methodist Church in Niles, with Rev. Cathi Huvaere of the church officiating. Interment will follow at Mission Hills. The family will receive relatives and friends from 4-8:00p.m. today, April 17, 2014, at the Halbritter Funeral Home, Niles.
