Lou Ann Hopkins

1957 - 2023

On Sunday, August 20, 2023, Lou Ann Ream Hopkins, 65, resident of Falkner, passed away peacefully at her residence. Funeral Services for Mrs. Hopkins will be at 1 PM Thursday, August 24 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with visitation from 10 AM until 1 PM. Burial will follow in Hopkins Cemetery.

Mrs. Hopkins was born December 19, 1957 in Delphos, OH, the daughter of the late Donald and Ruby Cavinder Ream. She received her education in the Delphos Jefferson Public School System and was a homemaker throughout her life.

Mrs. Hopkins enjoyed working outside that included tending to her beautiful flowers and plants. A highly opinionated, yet thoughtful person, she will be remembered for her love of shopping, puzzles, Halloween and watching horror movies. A beloved wife, mother, sister and "Mamaw", Mrs. Hopkins will be greatly missed by all those that knew and loved her.

Memories will continue to be shared by her husband, Leon Hopkins, one daughter, Rachel Childers, one son, Jeremy Hopkins (Brandi), all of Falkner, two sisters, Carol Wierwille (Rick) and Peggy Vanmeter, one brother, Donald Ream, all of Ohio, four grandchildren, Scarlett and Axl Hopkins, Madison and Hunter Childers and her canine companion, "Baby".
