Eugene Fernandez Obituary

Eugene J. Fernandez HOLBROOK Eugene J. Fernandez, age 51, of Holbrook died Monday, August 31, 2009 at the Quincy Medical Center. He was born in Quincy, raised and educated in Quincy schools and was a graduate of Quincy Vo-Tech, Class of 1978. He has lived in Holbrook for six years, previously in Weymouth for over twenty years and Quincy. Eugene was a sales representative at the Granite City Electric Supply Company in Quincy where he was employed for thirty years. He was an avid Nascar fan, enjoyed the Boston Red Sox and was devoted to his family. Beloved husband for twenty-eight years of Lynne M. (Elias) Fernandez. Devoted father of James J. Fernandez and his fiance Anne of Weymouth, Scott A. Fernandez and his wife Deborah of Malden and Kayla J. Fernandez of East Boston. Loving grandfather of Ryanne. Son of the late Eugene L. & Frances L. (Demaggio) Fernandez. Brother of Joseph F. Fernandez of Quincy, John A. Fernandez of Weymouth, James P. Fernandez of Franklin and George A. Fernandez of Weymouth, Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, grandnieces and grandnephews. Funeral Services will be conducted at the First Presbyterian Church, 270 Franklin Street, Quincy, Saturday, September 5 at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy Friday 48 p.m. Interment private.
