Frank James Morrow

SPARTANBURG, SC-- Frank James Morrow, 94, of Spartanburg, SC, died Thursday, January 15, 2015, at Valley Falls Terrace. Born August 16, 1920, in Apalache (Greer), SC, he was the son of the late Robert Taylor Morrow and Ocie Messer Morrow, and husband of the late Frances M. Atkins Morrow.
A U. S. Army veteran of World War II and graduate of Fairforest High School, Mr. Morrow retired from Phillips Fibers and was a member of Saxon Baptist Church.
Survivors include his children, Kenneth Morrow (Libby), Joel Morrow (Maryann), Marie Durham (David), and Kathy Bell (Stan), all of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, Eva Mason, Robert Morrow, Mandy Morrow, Josh Durham, Michael Bell, and Robbie Lynch; and six great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by a sister, Hazel Foster; and brothers, John Morrow and Willard Morrow.
The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, January 16, 2015, at the home at 421 Morrow Rd., Spartanburg, SC. A graveside service, with military rites by the SC State Guard Honors Team, will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 17, 2015, in Fort Prince Memorial Gardens, 125 Fort Prince Road, Wellford, SC 29385, by the Rev. Monty King.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
